Jaguars Fans Could Face Nearly Three Times The Traffic In London

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (FLAN 35) — Jacksonville Jaguars fans traveling to London could encounter a substantially more congested game-day environment than they experience at home, according to new research comparing traffic around NFL stadiums.

Betpack’s study gave EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville a Traffic Score of 14.2, placing it among the lower-scoring venues in the 32-stadium comparison.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London scored 40.6, nearly three times Jacksonville’s figure. Wembley Stadium, where Jacksonville is scheduled to face the Houston Texans on October 18, scored 39.8.

The Jaguars are set to face the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham on October 11 before returning to London for the following week’s matchup at Wembley.

Traffic around Tottenham recorded 55.7% congestion, with average speeds of 9.4 mph and a 10-kilometer journey taking 23.5 minutes. Wembley recorded 32.9% congestion and average speeds of 11.4 mph, although its average 10-kilometer journey took longer at 32.7 minutes.

The research used TomTom Move data to compare congestion, average speeds and travel times within one kilometer of each stadium. The measures were combined into an overall score, with higher numbers indicating worse traffic.

Nissan Stadium in Nashville topped the rankings with a score of 95.8.

For Jaguars supporters following the team overseas, the research suggests that getting to the stadium could be a different experience from navigating traffic in Jacksonville.
